Meat and Livestock Australia actively participates with North American retailers and foodservice companies to help promote and increase utilization of Australian Lamb. In partnership with distributors, the Australian Lamb industry can provide businesses with a range of marketing support options.

Retail Materials

A range of materials are available to assist retailers to support and grow sales of Australian lamb. Point-of-Sale materials such as individualized cabinet stripping, case dividers and on-pack labels can be designed and developed for retailer needs. Assistance can be provided in developing store fliers and promotional materials.

Materials that can be offered to customers include recipe brochures and recipe books, available in English and/or Spanish versions. Point-of-Sale materials can be designed and developed for individual retailer needs.

In-Store Demonstrations

In-store demonstrations can be arranged through an Industry Collaborative Agreement (ICA) program and tailored to suit individual retailer and consumer requirements.

Electronic media designed to increase consumers' consumption of Australian red meat are utilizing the power of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and our electronic lamb newsletter, "The Home Plate".

An experimental geographical saturation campaign in the Boston, Massachusetts, area met with success by providing billboards and signs on food trucks timed for Easter 2012.

The current lamb foodservice advertising campaign includes full-page advertisements in popular trade magazines. The campaign is aimed to increase awareness, demand and usage of Australian lamb by educating foodservice professionals that Australian lamb is a high-quality and sustainable product with a range of cuts to suit different menu options and cooking styles, and is ideal for appetizers and entrées for both lunch and dinner menus.
